Welcome to the Team Anthony: Our New Maths Teacher-Facilitator and Mentor

We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of our teaching staff. With a background in maths education and a passion for building genuine connections, Anthony brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep commitment to student-centred learning.

Anthony holds a Master of Teaching and has taught at several leading schools in Perth, including All Saints’ College, where he provided long service leave cover, and Scotch College. Most recently, he worked at Methodist Ladies’ College as a Maths and Science teacher, Head of House, and Assistant Head of Department.

Anthony believes that relationships and rapport sit at the heart of all teaching and learning. “I value the connections that are formed both in and out of the classroom,” he says, “and how these are central to enabling the best schooling experience.”

His teaching style is all about making learning enjoyable and personal, while helping students think critically, collaborate meaningfully, and grow from their experiences. He’s excited by the unique opportunities TSS offers for real-world, project-based learning and is looking forward to seeing students’ interests shine through their work.

“I’m most excited to get to know the students and what drives them,” Anthony shares. “The opportunity to contribute to the wider community and be part of the amazing projects happening here is something I’m really looking forward to.”

If Anthony could take on a student project himself, he’d learn to play the guitar—something he’s always wanted to try. He’d also love to get involved in local volunteering projects, whether it’s supporting residents at Aegis Aged Care or lending a hand at St Pat’s.

His three words to describe TSS?

Refreshing. Inspiring. Community.

His two favourite quotes?

In a world where you can be anything… be kind.

“Comparison is the thief of joy.”

“Each student’s experience at TSS is unique,” Anthony reflects. “They have the freedom and support to explore what matters to them—and by being kind and learning from one another, we grow together.”

We’re delighted to welcome Anthony to the team, and look forward to seeing the connections he’ll build and the impact he’ll make across our learning community.
