Exciting Update: Jordan to Represent WA at National Championships and Australia in New Zealand

The Studio School is proud to announce that Year 10 student Jordan has been selected for two major cycling events in the coming months, marking a momentous milestone in his cycling career.

Jordan, an under-17 cyclist, has just finished representing Western Australia in the Australian National Road Cycling Championships. This event is the pinnacle of national cycling competition, bringing together the country’s best young riders to compete for the title. “The National Championships are huge," Jordan said. "It’s the ultimate test on home soil, and I’m proud to represent WA.” Jordan finished 2nd in the Individual Time Trial (ITT) - an event known to prove your strength as it is every rider for themselves. Unfortunately, due to illness Jordan made the very difficult decision to retire from his 2024 Nationals campaign. Despite falling ill he persevered through challenging conditions and managed to finish 8th in the 62km road race.

But that’s not all. Following the National Championships, Jordan will be heading to New Zealand to represent the Australian Junior Development Team in the prestigious Tour of Southland from October 4th to 6th. This international event will see Jordan racing against top junior cyclists from all over the Oceania region.

“I’m super excited to race at the Tour of Southland,” Jordan shared. “Being selected for the Junior Development Academy is a huge honour, and racing internationally is always an amazing experience. I’m grateful to The Studio School for their continued support in helping me balance my studies with my racing schedule. Their flexibility has allowed me to keep up with my schoolwork while pursuing my passion for cycling.”

As an ambassador for The Studio School, Jordan is a shining example of how the school’s adaptable learning environment enables students to excel in both academics and extracurricular activities. His achievements are a testament to his hard work and the school’s commitment to supporting young athletes.

We wish Jordan the best of luck as he competes at the National Championships and prepares for the Tour of Southland in New Zealand!
