A Strong Start to 2025: Orientation Week and the TSS Welcome Breakfast

With Term 1 now in full swing, students have settled into the rhythm of the new school year following a positive start during Orientation Week. Over two days, students engaged in activities designed to build connections, set personal goals, and ease into 2025 with a strong sense of community.

During the first two days, students spent time in their mentor groups, reflecting on their aspirations for the year ahead, decorating journals, and getting involved in interactive activities including giant Jenga, blind drawing, Cross the River, and cookie decorating. The week also included important discussions around managing study time and devices and safely making the most of our Fremantle location, with a visit from the City of Fremantle’s Community Safety Officers offering valuable insights.

A highlight of the first week was the annual TSS Welcome Breakfast, a much-loved tradition bringing together students, families, and staff to celebrate the start of the year. With delicious food and plenty of conversation, new and returning families and students had the chance to make connections and catch up after the break. A big thank you to ASC alumni Smile Events WA for providing the catering and helping to make the morning such a welcoming occasion.

Now a few weeks into term, it’s great to see students carrying the energy and enthusiasm from Orientation Week into their learning and projects. We look forward to seeing what they achieve throughout 2025!
