On the 12th of September, The Studio School held our Term 3 Open Studio. I chance for our parent / guardian community to see what our students have been busy with in the last Term.

To mark the end of Term 2 we held two Open Studios. These Open Studios provided an opportunity for our students to showcase their projects and for our community members to give feedback on their work.

Earlier this year we were excited to announce that The Studio School won a Youth Week WA 2023 grant from the Department of Communities. The grant application was co-written by current Year 12 student Avalean, who also brought to life ReFashion, an event held on April 11th in partnership with Good Sammy Fremantle.

A project partnership between The Studio School and Fremantle Street Gallery creator Rosslyn de Souza, recently saw the opening of a new art exhibition. ‘Becoming – Identities and New Beginnings’ in Freo’s newest creative corridor, Outside the Box gallery in Woodsons Arcade.

"I am very impressed with The Studio School as a great example of making schools human institutions that respect students as equal human beings and support them as self-determined learners.” These were the words of internationally renowned education transformer, Professor Yong Zhao, when he visited our campus recently.
