I’ve always been passionate about soccer. Currently, I’m training with the Perth Glory Women’s Soccer team, and, at just 14, I made history as the youngest player to debut in the A-League Women’s competition, playing for Sydney United. Now, I’m aiming even higher, with my sights set on joining the Matildas 1st Team, all while balancing my academic and athletic commitments.
The Studio School has been a game-changer for me. Before joining, I never really had a community or support system in school, which was the hardest part of my journey. Being home-schooled for a while, I longed for a place where I could belong and thrive. TSS has given me that. The support and understanding of my sporting commitments have helped me build a strong community that I can lean on throughout my athletic journey. The flexibility here has been crucial, allowing me to juggle my academics alongside my elite soccer training. Beyond soccer, I’m passionate about youth coaching. I’m working towards obtaining a full-time Youth Coaching certificate, which will allow me to teach kids aged 5 to 10. I’m also taking courses in First Aid in Sport and Outdoor Learning to further develop my skills. I want to inspire young girls to pursue their dreams in sports, just like I’m doing.
A highlight for me at TSS was participating in Open Studio, where I got to showcase what I’ve been working on—something that’s not always possible when everyone else is busy too. Looking ahead, my ultimate goal is to sign a full-time professional contract and eventually join the Matildas. Everything I’m learning here, even life skills, is preparing me for the future. What I’m doing now will not only help me on the field but also when it comes to opportunities after graduation. Clubs really value academics as well as talent, and with my Youth Coaching certificate in hand soon, I’ll have even more to offer.
My advice to other aspiring athletes? Talent without hard work is nothing. TSS is an amazing place to grow, and I’d 100% recommend it.
