Music has always been my passion. I love composing music, especially for video game soundtracks. The Studio School has given me the freedom to fully immerse myself in my creative pursuits.
At The Studio School, I’ve been able to structure my own learning around my primary interests. Last year, I completed a Certificate IV in Music, and I also enjoy Mathematics Methods. The flexibility here allows me to focus intensely on my music while also balancing other subjects, which is crucial for staying in the zone creatively. My Teacher-Facilitators are incredibly supportive, ensuring I understand my subjects every step of the way and are also invested in everything I create.
When I first joined The Studio School, I didn’t really know what direction I wanted to take. I came from a school that didn’t align with me, and I needed a more welcoming environment where I could be myself. Here, I’ve found a place that is not only supportive but also allows me to pursue my passions through self-led learning. One of the things I love most about The Studio School is how it supports everything I create. Whether I’m working on a music project or storyboarding for video art, I have the time and resources to do my best work.
Looking ahead, I hope to make a profession out of something I’m passionate about, whether it’s music composition or voice acting. I’m aiming to get into WAAPA or Notre Dame and hopefully find opportunities to collaborate with game developers. The support I’ve received from The Studio School has also helped me overcome personal challenges, making this journey even more meaningful. Every day, I’m excited to explore new aspects of music and see where my creativity takes me.
