MEET OUR STUDENTS | Daniel

Meet DANIEL

Year 12

Design has always been my passion, from digital art to graphic design and even model railroading. Since joining The Studio School, I’ve taken my interest a step further by starting a sticker business which has allowed me to bring my designs to life and share them with others. While I still need to balance this with my school subjects, I feel fully supported here. The Studio School actively encourages me to pursue these interests and even incorporates my work into school events like our community event at Boo Park.

One of the aspects I appreciate most about The Studio School is the way everyone is treated as an adult. Here, we’re not just students; we’re taught like adults as though we’re learning something new in a real-world setting. I thrive in the open environment where Teacher-Facilitators frequently check in, offer support and create a welcoming and mature atmosphere. I’m able to focus on what I love, with designated time for individual projects—something unique that I haven’t experienced anywhere else.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing my sticker business as well as pursue a Certificate IV in Graphic Design. While I’m particularly drawn to a career in graphic design, I don’t feel limited to just one path; I have several options open to me, like product design and concept art. The Studio School has given me the confidence to believe that work doesn’t have to feel like “work” if it aligns with your passions. I’m grateful for the community here and the encouragement to follow my own path.

In addition to my business, I’m also looking forward to getting involved in organising events. Balancing these activities with school has taught me a lot about prioritisation and time management. Every day, I feel lucky to be part of a place that values individuality and gives me the freedom to carve my own future.
